{"id":490,"date":"2020-08-31T07:45:20","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T07:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/600hemphill.com\/?p=490"},"modified":"2020-08-30T17:34:34","modified_gmt":"2020-08-30T17:34:34","slug":"new-trcp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/600hemphill.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/31\/new-trcp\/","title":{"rendered":"New TRCP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Texas Supreme Court recently <a href=\"https:\/\/600commerce.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Amended-TRCP.pdf\">entered an order <\/a>amending (effective Jan. 1, 2021) several rules of civil procedure about discovery, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> &#8212; Amendment of Tex. R. Civ. P. 47, 169, and 190 so that expedited discovery procedures will apply to any case with $250,000 or less in controversy (amended from $100,000). This also changes the Rule 47 pleading requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> &#8212; Rule 194 is amended to follow Fed. R. Civ.
